2022 UPDATE: Meeting on April 21 at 4:00 p.m. in the Project Room of the Extension Office.

Wild At Art Club: What Should I Know?

What Do We Do?

  • Introduce members to basic art concepts: space, color, shapes, perspective, form, and texture.
  • Create art through math concepts; symmetry, three dimensional, two dimensional, and rotation.
  • Create projects for the County and State Fair.
  • Provide the opportunity to practice real world skills in a fun and artistic way by: following directions, geometry, color theory, conceptualizing a project from idea to completion, leadership and team work.

What Will I Need?

Members will need to have a good attitude, ability to follow instructions, willingness to be expressive and creative, and be open minded about trying new things. Art supplies will be provided.

Time Commitment?

The club usually meets on the third Thursday of the month from 4:00-5:00 p.m., August through May. Some projects will require multiple classes to complete. So regular attendance is highly encouraged.

What Should Parents Know?

Classes are held at the Grayson County Extension Office. Parents are more than welcome to stay with their children for classes.

Please note: Parents with Cloverbuds (age 5 through 8) are required to stay and assist child.
