Join the Grayson County Homemaker Association for a FUN & Whimsical night of painting! The talented artists from Whims & Wishes will guide you step-by-step in creating something you will love!  Choose from the following:

International Cooking Series - Around the World in Your Own Kitchen

Travel the world & learn about the customs & cuisine of El Salvador, Germany, Venezuela, & Thailand!  Class series held at 5:00 p.m. & is free & open to the public.  Food demonstrations, food sampling & new recipes, as well as a free gift for each class you attend!  You must register in advance by calling (270) 259-3492. 

April 2 - El Salvador

April 9 - Germany

April 16 - Venezuela

April 30 - Thailand


Laugh & Learn Series

Children ages 16 months to 5 years are invited to Laugh & Learn through play-dates filled with games, crafts, fun & laughs, while building skills that will prepare them for school!  Class series held at the Extension Office from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. on the following schedule:  

  • January 18 - Weather
  • February 15 - Emotions & Feelings
  • March 15 - Nutrition

Children must be accompanied by adult & younger children are welcome.  Class series is free but please pre-register by calling (270) 259-3492. 


AARP Driver Safety Course

April 18, 2019    10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.  

$15 for AARP Member    $20 for Non-Member

Advanced registration is required - Pay the day of class.  


Diabetes Support Group - 2019 Dates

Held at the Grayson County Health Department at 5:00 p.m.

All are welcome to attend!  Open to adults and youth diagnosed with Diabetes, and family members or loved ones who support someone with Diabetes.


Beginner Sewing for Adults
Call for more information in August 2019.
Classes are geared for those who own a sewing machine & want to learn how to use it.  The Extension Office does have a limited number of sewing machines that can be used if you don't have a machine of your own.  Classes are held twice a month on Saturday's, 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Advanced registration & payment of $5 fee is required.
Instructor:  Barbara Stiles, Certified Kentucky Master Clothing Volunteer.
 


Live @5 Evening Homemaker Club

This club meets the 4th Monday of each month at 5:00 p.m. at the
Extension Office. 
Everyone is welcome to come & learn more about
this new club!  Next meeting:  February 25, 2019.
