Who We Are
The Kentucky Extension Homemakers Association (KEHA) is a volunteer organization that works to improve the quality of life for families and communities through leadership development, volunteer service and education. The organization was developed in cooperation with the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service. Across the state, County Extension Agents for Family and Consumer Sciences work closely with KEHA members and clubs to provide educational programming and coordinate community activities.

The Extension Homemaker organization has been an active volunteer program in Grayson County since 1936. In Grayson County we have 47 members in 3 clubs, including Mailbox members. Local members are active and involved in many projects and host various educational events and programs including some of the following:

  • Annual School Supply Drive
  • 5th Saturday - Crafting for a Cause
  • Senior Scholarship Program
  • Monthly Educational Lesson Training
  • County Fair
  • Extension Farm Fest

If you are interested in joining a club, or starting a new one in your neighborhood or community, please contact the Grayson County Extension Office at (270) 259-3492.

The Kentucky Extension Homemaker Assocation welcomes new members regardless of age, race, color, national origin, creed, marital status, gender, education or economic status. Any full or part-time homemaker, male or female, rural or urban, teenager or senior citizen and in-between, is welcome to belong to KEHA.
